What is the law on fireworks?
The most important parts of the law concerning displays are the restrictions on firing times.
These are as follows:
Fireworks cannot be set off between 11pm and 7am, except for:
Bonfire Night, where the cut off is midnight.
New Year’s Eve, Diwali and Chinese New Year where the cut off is 1am.
It is also worth checking with your local council to make sure there are no local restrictions.
